Horsemanship Class / Obstacle Course
Horse Progress Days will be hosting a new event this year, the Horsemanship Class/Obstacle Course. This is an opportunity for participants to learn some hands-on horsemanship. Participants will each bring their own horse (the horse should be well-trained and the rider capable of riding), and will ride an obstacle course. Some experienced trainers from a local trainer’s association (East Coast Horsemanship Association) will be guiding, giving tips, and teaching horsemanship. If the participants run into a tough obstacle, then the trainers will show them the best way to approach it. This will be a one-on-one session starting at 1:30 pm on Friday and ending at 3:30 pm. It will be repeated on Saturday at the same times.
If you are interested in participating, please call Jonathan King at 717-405-4950.
Stalling and horse feed/hay will be provided. Cost is $50 per rider which will help sponsor Horse Progress Days. Don’t wait to call as there will be room for only 10 participants. ✸
